Brooker Creek Preserve is 8,700 acres of pure wilderness found in the heart of Pinellas County! Bordered by dense urban development, the Preserve provides both a unique refuge for native flora and fauna, as well as an opportunity for our community to explore the natural beauty of wild Florida. A complex of hiking and equestrian trails provide visitors an opportunity to explore the Preserve’s many ecosystems.
Weedon Island Preserve is an expansive 3,190-acre natural area located on Tampa Bay. Weedon Island boasts a vibrant mangrove ecosystem with numerous plant and animal species, among them the Roseate Spoonbill and Gopher Tortoise. The site was once home to a Native American population, the Manasota culture, which left behind several artifacts including a canoe that dates back 1,100 years and is 39 ft. in length.
