Kelly Quinn

Artist Biography

Born and raised in the sunshine state, Kelly has been in love with nature since she experienced her first taste of wild Florida. Growing up in a rural area surrounded by conservation land, she explored the world in search of interesting critters and captured them with paper and pencil, developing a passion for wildlife and art that continues to inspire her career today.

Kelly graduated from the University of Florida College of Fine Arts in 2016, and is a professional digital illustrator, acrylic painter, and muralist based in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has worked with small businesses, large nonprofits, local government, and corporate brands on a variety of educational content, including children's books, murals, social media campaigns, infographics, team building, art lessons, and personal art commissions.

Kelly was named the Artist of the Year for the International Sea Keepers Society in 2021 and 2022, as well as the Oceanic Preservation Society Featured Artist for 2022. Her work has been featured in Biscayne National Park, the National Parks Association, and on ABC Action News. She founded her personal brand, Kelly of the Wild in 2016, and Co-founded Canvas of the Wild with Blake Wheeler in 2018.

Kelly is currently the Art Director for Canvas of the Wild; where she designs natural landscape murals for educational campaigns, creates illustrations for coloring or activity books and develops scientific graphics for communicating research.
