Her artwork has been shown in Biscayne National Park, and galleries across Florida. Original artwork can be privately viewed at her studio in St. Petersburg, Florida by appointment only.
Central to my art are core values of mission, education, and storytelling inspired by Florida and our shared wild heritage. I spent my childhood exploring conservation lands in central Florida, where my passion for nature and curiosity of the world around me was cultivated and explored through pencil and paper until I began painting in middle school.
After graduating from the University of Florida, with the encouragement and guidance of Blake Wheeler, I dedicated my personal and professional life to sharing the stories of science and the natural world. With these inspirations guiding me, I have worked with organizations such as The Florida Aquarium, Coral Restoration Foundation, and the Hillsborough County School System to uplift the stories of science through art.
in 2019 I partnered with Biscayne National Park, creating an exhibition that engaged the community with education through the platform of art. To accomplish this I utilized stories to communicate conservation and invited educational non-profits to share in the opportunity to connect people to nature.
I am passionate about the intersection between science and art, in 2018, Blake and I developed art experiences under “Canvas of the Wild” for our community to enjoy wild spaces while learning how to paint artwork inspired by the locations we visited. In 2020, we designed an educational coloring book inspired by The Florida Wildlife Corridor, meant to communicate science to both adults and children.
In 2021, I became the project lead and artist for an immersive 2,000 sq ft educational mural in downtown Miami located on the Miami-Dade Public Schools building called iPrep Academy. This school serves K-12, and in collaboration with local partners, I hosted art classes, painted the mural with students, and connected the school with researchers at the University of Miami to inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.
