Cranes are considered a powerful symbol of justice, longevity, and unrivaled faithfulness. The Sandhill Crane is one of a handful of animals in the world that finds a soul mate and remains with them their entire life, raising young collaboratively, traveling great distances together, and defending each other fiercely. 

These lovers were inspired by a specific pair of cranes I’ve seen raise chicks since year after year. Seeing their struggles and triumphs, I wanted to capture their story and love to share it with you.
